Zolmitriptan is a clinically effective migraine treatment used to relieve Migraine, headaches and associated symptoms.
Zolmitriptan tablets contains the active substance zolmitriptan and belongs to a group of medicines called triptans. Zolmitriptan is used to treat migraine attacks (headache and nausea).
Migraine symptoms may be caused by swollen blood vessels in the head. Zolmitriptan reduces the widening of these blood vessels.
This helps to take away the headache and other symptoms of a migraine attack, such as feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting) and being sensitive to light and sound.
Take ONE tablet (2.5 mg). Swallow your tablet with a drink of water.
You can take Zolmitriptan as soon as a migraine headache starts. You can also take it once an attack is underway.
You can take another tablet if the migraine is still present after two hours or if it returns within 24 hours.
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 10mg.
Do not use more than two doses in one day unless advised and prescribed by your doctor.
The dose maybe increased to 5mg in patients who do not experience satisfactory relief with 2.5mg tablets.
Do not use more than the dose prescribed for you.
Keep Away From Children
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not store above 30°C.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects.
Although not everybody gets them and the effects are usually mild to moderate and of a short duration.
