What is Bendroflumethiazide?
Bendroflumethiazide tablets are used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and fluid retention (oedema) from kidney, liver or heart problems.

Bendroflumethiazide tablets belong to a group of medicines called thiazide diuretics, or water tablets. Diuretics increase the amount of urine you produce. Bendroflumethiazide is the active ingredient in these tablets.
How do you take Bendroflumethiazide?
Always take the Bendroflumethiazide dose prescribed by your GP or pharmacist.
Adults should take one tablet each morning, as prescribed by your GP, with water. It’s easiest to take these tablets in the morning so that you’re not woken in the night needing to go to the bathroom.
You should avoid alcohol when you are being treated with these water retention tablets as it can affect the way the medication works.
