Levonelle One Step is a popular Morning After Pill for Emergency Contraception. Levonelle One Step is taken after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy.
Levonelle one step is most widely known as "the morning after pill" an emergency contraception pill that works within 3 days (72 hours) after unprotected sexual intercourse or failure of a contraceptive method.
It is available in its cheaper generic form Levonelle 1500 (medically equivalent).
Take ONE tablet as soon as possible (preferably within 12 hours) as efficiency reduces over time, but no later than 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex.
If you vomit within three hours of taking the tablet, you should take another tablet.
You will need to contact your pharmacist, doctor practice nurse or family planning clinic immediately for advice and another tablet.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects.
Although not everybody gets them and the effects are usually mild to moderate and of a short duration.
