CBD (Cannabidiol)

What is CBD (cannabidiol)?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is an extract derived from the hemp plant. It is the main active ingredient that is found in CBD health products.

CBD is a versatile health supplement that comes in several different forms. It may be taken as a capsule or as an oil, which can be swallowed directly. CBD also comes as a vaping oil, and can be inhaled using an electronic cigarette or a vaping pen.

Although CBD is derived from the cannabis plant, it does not contain THC. THC is the psychoactive compound that is found in cannabis. CBD contains no mind-altering or intoxicating ingredients, and is considered safe for everyday use.

CBD has recently been made available in the United Kingdom for therapeutic purposes. CBD products can be sold without a prescription and are available from our pharmacy. You do not need a prescription in order to buy a CBD product.

Please note that you must be 18 or over to order from our pharmacy.

What conditions can CBD treat?

Although evidence is limited, CBD does appear to make changes within the body and has been claimed to help a variety of health ailments. CBD is often used to aid conditions such as anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. The use of CBD may also aid digestion and help improve well-being.

Although CBD may be used for many conditions, we only sell CBD products as a supplement. CBD is best used alongside a healthy lifestyle.

Can CBD make me “high”?

THC and CBD are different compounds that are found in the cannabis plant. CBD products contain little to no traces of THC.

THC causes an intoxicating “high” if it is smoked or used in cooking, and is known for its recreational use in cannabis.

CBD is very different from THC. CBD is a specific non-psychoactive compound and its use has no mind-altering effect. CBD products do not create a “high” or intoxication.

Is CBD Legal?

It is legal to sell CBD for therapeutic use in the United Kingdom. Legal CBD products must contain no more than 0.2% THC, and the THC must not be easily separable from the product.

All our products adhere to regulations and are safe and legal to use in the United Kingdom.

Can I pass a drug test while using a CBD Product?

Modern drug tests do not test for CBD, and should not cause you to fail a drug test.

I’m pregnant. Am I able to use CBD?

If you are pregnant or if you suspect you may be pregnant, do not take CBD without consulting your doctor.

Am I able to use CBD while breastfeeding?

If you are breastfeeding, it is advised that you talk to your doctor before using CBD. CBD may pass into breast milk. Its effects are unknown in nursing babies.

Is CBD suitable for Children?

While CBD may be used at any age, there is limited research on its use in children. We do not recommend the use of CBD in children without consulting a doctor first.

If you are concerned about your child’s health or well-being, please consult your doctor for advice.
