Lansoprazole Orodispersible Tablets are an alternative to Lansoprazole Capsules. Lansoprazole Orodispersible dissolves in the mouth. Lansoprazole is used for treating acid reflux as well as other conditions that are caused by excess acid in the stomach.

How does Lansoprazole Orodispersible work?

Lansoprazole Orodispersible has the active ingredient lansoprazole. Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). This means that Lansoprazole limits the amount of acid produced in the stomach, ultimately reducing the amount of stomach acid that travels up the oesophagus causing acid reflux.

How do you take Lansoprazole Orodispersible?

Always take Lansoprazole Orodispersible as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Before taking this medication, please read the patient information leaflet.


Place the tablet on your tongue and suck gently. The tablet rapidly dissolves in the mouth, releasing microgranules which you should swallow without chewing. You can also swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.


Take one tablet daily, preferably at the same time each morning. This medication can be taken on an empty stomach.
