Lansoprazole Orodispersible belongs to a group of medicines called “proton pump inhibitors” for the treatment of Acid Reflux. It reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, successfully treating the symptoms of acid reflux.
Lansoprazole Orodispersible is a dissolvable in the mouth alternative to Lansoprazole Capsules. The active ingredient in Lansoprazole Capsules is lansoprazole, which is a Proton Pump Inhibitor.
Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) work by reducing the amount of acid that your stomach produces.
Lansoprazole is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD) and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid which can cause discomfort such as heart burn, acidic taste in the mouth, stomach discomfort, feelings of food being stuck to your oesaphagus (food pipe) and difficulties in swallowing.
Take ONE capsule daily, preferably same time each morning.
Place the tablet on your tongue and suck gently. The tablet rapidly dissolves in the mouth, releasing microgranules which you should swallow without chewing.
You can also swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
With or Without Food
You can take your capsules with food or on an empty stomach.
Take as Directed
Do NOT exceed more than directed.
Always take as directed by doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton.
Keep Away From Children
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not store above 30°C.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects.
Although not everybody gets them and the effects are usually mild to moderate and of a short duration.
